A blog about houseplants and the people who love them

Hello!

I bet you've seen those eye catching displays of Mums and Gerbera Daises at the local nursery or grocery story. I bet you're even more tempted to bring some home as houseplants. Unfortunately Pot Mums are good for a few weeks of color, and then they should be discarded as getting them to reflower is almost impossible!

Gerbera Daises however do a lot better. Just make sure they don't dry out and get plenty of bright light and warmth. A southern facing window is ideal. In return they will reward you with lots of big colorful blooms!

My local market is offering baby Spider Plants wrapped up in Halloween themed paper with a plastic spider tucked inbetween the long leaves. It was too cute to resist!
