I love houseplants. They are beautiful and help clean the air. Some of them taste great too! I'm talking about herbs of course. Right now on my kitchen windowsill I've got oregano, lavender, and dill. Soon I'll have chamomile and basil once the seeds I've sowed sprout. They make great houseplants and will fill your home with greenery, fragrance and flavor long after the garden outside has gone to sleep for the winter. Check out my latest article for more.
Plan on moving your houseplants outdoors for the summer? Now is the time to do it, provided your area is no longer in danger of any frost and the nighttime temps are no lower than 55 or so. If you do move your houseplants outside, do so gradually. Start by putting them in a shady area for a few hours a day and then gradually move them to a sunnier spot. Avoid any spot that gets full sun all day as most houseplants can't tolerate it and they can burn just like us. Partial shade is best. Remember, even the shadiest spot in your yard probably gets more light than anywhere in your house.
